Mark your calendar for Fall Clean-Up Day, which is set for Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Athletic Park, a half mile west of Highway 41 on 1st Street. Clean up your yard and dispose of yard waste free of charge. Disposal of yard waste includes leaves, grass, brush and garden waste. Cooking fires cause hundreds of deaths and thousands of injuries in our nation each year.  Recently, the Chaska Fire Department has responded to three kitchen fires, one of them resulting in an injury.  This fact, along with the more than $2.5 million in property loss, make reducing these statistics a priority to the Chaska Fire Department.
