Please join us for a Community Open House for the Chaska Wayfinding Signage Project. The City of Chaska is currently developing a wayfinding signage program for downtown and the city-wide trail system, as well as key roadway entries and intersections throughout the community. Wayfinding signage will include major destinations like the historic downtown, Town Course, Community Center, National Wildlife Refuge, Firemen’s Park and Curling Center. This initiative was a recommendation from the Downtown Chaska Master Plan, completed in 2012, and is focused on how to:
• welcome people to the community;
• effectively get people to their destinations in the city;
• increase awareness of the unique destinations in downtown that are all within a walkable
• help residents and visitors navigate Chaska’s extensive trail system with maps, trail route
names, and mileages.
The Community Open House will provide information about the proposed wayfinding signage program including potential sign locations and sign design concepts, both downtown and around the community. You will have the opportunity to learn about the Chaska Wayfinding Signage Project, ask questions, give your feedback, and discuss ideas with the project consultants and city staff.
