Carver County and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), in partnership with Chaska, Chanhassen and Carver, are identifying long-term improvement needs on County Highway 61 (Chaska Boulevard) and Highway 41 (Chestnut Street) in the areas shown on the map. The focus of this effort will be on Downtown Chaska first, followed by evaluation of the
broader corridors. The following two upcoming construction projects will be defined in these efforts:
• County Highway 61 - from County Highway 140 to Highway 41 – Construction in 2017
• Highway 41 – from Minnesota River to County Highway 61 – Construction in 2019
We invite you to attend the Public Information Meeting to hear project purpose and to provide input on needs and concerns in Downtown Chaska.
Three additional open houses are planned in the summer, fall and early winter of 2016 to continue plans for Downtown Chaska and to solicit input on the broader corridors as well. Drawings of improvement alternatives will be made available at future public meetings.
Please attend the April 19 meeting and share your thoughts to help plan for the future of these roadways. Agency representatives will be present to answer questions.
