Hwy 41 Reopens

Intersection of Highway 41 and Hundertmark Road

Highway 41 between Hundertmark Rd. and Pioneer Trail has reopened to thru traffic.

The closure lasted approximately three months. The expansion of Highway 41 from two to four lanes between Pioneer Trail and Hundertmark Rd. will ease traffic congestion and provide more convenient options for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Project Highlights

  • Over 3,500 linear feet of new walls built
  • Over 96,000 cubic yards of dirt moved
  • Over 2,500 linear feet of newly paved trail

Wrapping up the project

You'll still see construction crews on-site through mid-October while they complete finishing touches and remove construction equipment and materials and the temporary signal poles at Hundertmark Rd.

Some of this work may require a lane or shoulder closure within the project area between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. We'll let you know in advance if you should anticipate any substantial traffic impacts.

Tell us what you think!

The construction project team is collecting feedback from community members to understand how well they communicated project information and how they can improve communication on future projects. Please take a moment now to share your thoughts and experiences.

Please also share the survey with family, friends and anyone else you know who lives in or travels through the Chaska area.

Thank you in advance for your input!
