Chaska Named National Training Site
We are excited to announce that our Curling Center is the new National Training Center for USA Curling. This agreement runs through July 30, 2019, and at that time, we'll review the first season with an eye toward a longer term agreement. As a part of the agreement, the USA Curling High Performance (HP) and Development Programs will be able to use our facility for practice, camps and other events. Curlers in these programs will book ice time through our normal reservation process, which means our leagues, bonspiels and other member programming shouldn't be impacted. You may see a slight impact to ice availability during open hours, so make sure to check with our office before heading over. Camps are generally limited to one to two a year and practice ice is booked in the weekday mornings, early afternoons, or available weekends. As the National Training Center, we get to showcase our great ice to the best curlers in the U.S. and host more national USA Curling events like the U18 National Championships that are coming here in March. We will also work with USA Curling to bring advanced member programming, junior camps, and community events to the Curling Center. These will be great benefits to you, our members, and allow us to continue to grow the great game of curling.
