Apple Mail Setup

To set up your Outlook Express client to work with chaska.net email:

  1. Enable IMAP in your email account. Don't forget to click Save Changes when you're done.
    1. Sign in to your chaska.net account at mail.chaska.net
    2. Click Settings at the top of any page.
    3. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP
    4. Select Enable IMAP
    5. Proceed to step two below to configure Apple Mail
  2. Open Mac Mail
  3. From the menu bar click Mail, then click Preferences.
  4. Click the + to add an account.
  5. Enter your Full Name
  6. Enter your Email Address
  7. Enter your Password
  8. Click Continue to bring you the Incoming Mail Server window.
  9. Change Account Type to IMAP.
  10. Enter imap.gmail.com for your Description.
  11. Enter imap.gmail.com for your Incoming Mail Server.
  12. Enter your User Name username@chaska.net.
  13. Enter your Password.
  14. Click Continue to bring you to the Outgoing Mail Server window.
  15. Enter smtp.gmail.com for your Description.
  16. Enter smtp.gmail.com for you Outgoing Mail Server.
  17. Check Use only this server.
  18. Click Continue to go to the Account Summary Window.
  19. Click Create. You will then be back in Mac Mail Accounts page.
  20. Click Mail.
  21. Click Preferences.  Which will bring you to the accounts page.
  22. Click the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): drop down menu.
  23. Click Edit Server List to bring you to the SMTP server information window.
  24. Select smtp.gmail.com.
  25. Click Advanced.
  26. Click Use custom port and enter 587.
  27. Click the Authentication drop down menu and select Password.
  28. Enter username@chaska.net.
  29. Enter Password.
  30. Click OK, this will then bring you back to the accounts page.
  31. Click the X to close the accounts page.
  32. Click Save, if prompt.

Congratulations! You're done configuring your client to send and retrieve chaska.net messages.
