We wanted to provide an update to our membership on our plan for W1 and W2 leagues.
With the Governor's dial back restrictions, the Curling Center is closed through December 18th. This shutdown has impacted our W1 league season.
Every indication is pointing towards an extension of the shutdown. For this reason, we are waiting for a follow-up message from the Governor to see if our Curling Center can open on the 19th or if we can expect to stay closed into the new year. Our next move depends on how long we remain shutdown.
We will likely have two options depending on the Governor's message.
- If we are able to open at the end of the month, we would have the option of finishing out or W1 season in early January and delaying the start of W2 until February. This would push the end of W2 into April.
- If the shutdown continues through the Christmas and New Year holiday and presses on into January, we would likely begin W2 when restrictions are lifted and refund the remaining scheduled W1 games.
We are interested in hearing your thoughts. Please take a minute to complete the league survey
which will help guide our decisions. We'll look to circle back as soon as we know more from the state and have had a chance to review member feedback.
Email is the best way to contact us. Reach out if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing everyone soon! Stay healthy!
