Winter (W1) League Registration
League registration is right around the corner! The season will again be broken into two sessions, W1 (Oct-Dec) and W2 (Jan-Mar) with an optional playoff beginning in April. Similar to past years, new and returning members will also re-up their membership (2020 Curling Membership- good Oct 1-Sep 30, 2020) through the registration process.
Grandfather Registration, August 19-20: Teams from W2 can re-up in their corresponding league for W1 this season. One team member, usually the skip, will enroll the team and pay 1/4 of the league fee. After Aug 20, staff will work to honor all league change requests and reconfigure software for general registration.
General Registration, Aug 26, 10am: Any league openings after grandfather registration are open for registration. One team member will select and enroll the team.
We encourage you to visit our league information PAGE and familiarize yourself with the process. NOTE: Only one member from each team registers. Teammate registration takes place at a later time. During this year's registration, you'll notice a few additional questions:
- You will be asked information on purchasing a Curling Center name tag. Note that you will have to enter information in TWO places, the first asking if you are interested and what name you would like to have on the tag and the second will be at time of checkout. You will have to add in the number of tags you would like.
- You will be asked if you would like to make a donation to the new high school curling nonprofit, SubZero Curling. You may have noticed some of the program participants selling raffle tickets at our Fire and Ice Bonspiel! We are excited to see the growth of curling at all ages and levels. To see more curling opportunities for kids is amazing! Thanks to all who have worked so hard to start this program!
- You will be asked about volunteer opportunities including instructing, ice, and the Mixed Nationals next April. We can't say enough to all who give back to help! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Many of the programs we offer, including junior curling, would not have been possible without you.
We are in year 2 of tiered membership pricing with USA Curling. This means our members will pay 2/3 of full dues and still have full membership benefits. In addition to USCA dues, members must also pay Minnesota Curling Association (MCA) dues, which increased from $3 to $4 this year. USCA and MCA dues for an adult member are approximately $38 (approximately $27 this year with 2/3 pricing). Benefits of membership and dues pricing can be found on our membership page. You'll also find links to the USCA and MCA websites. We have aligned our membership pricing with USCA, noting that seniors and adult dues are the same and juniors extend through age 21. You'll find our curling rates are comparable to most seasonal clubs.
